BY: BRENDAPARAGUAY THURSDAY, JANUARY 01, 2009
Category: General Discussion

Our New Years celebrations were delayed by one second this year, according to the people who keep the atomic clock.  I hope the people who drop the ball at Times square know about this.

On my side of the world, we did not notice that extra second, but in the spirit of all things new, I decided to suggest a few resolutions to myself.  They are only suggestions, so... Read More

The law gives school officials the power to suspend or expel students who harass others using an electronic device. But it only applies to bullying that occurs during school hours or during a school-related activity.

In 2006, the Indiana Toll Road went on the market and was leased by a private corporation. According to the Times... Read More

Actor-director Ben Affleck and rock star Mick Jagger have launched a short film for the UNHCR (the United Nations Refugee Agency) Gimme Shelter Campaign to help raise funds and awareness about the conflict and crisis in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. I, too, believe that it is important to raise awareness.

Since the onset, five million people have died. Recently, 1.2 million have been... Read More

Looking for Movie Reviews

I got movie passes for Christmas. Yes, I love film. Has anyone been seeing movies? What would you recommend that I see?
You don't have to limit your suggestions to those that are at the theatre because I'm interested in video rentals too. I'll be on-call all week-end and if we're not working, watching movies is the perfect thing to do.
