Turkey, potatoes, green bean casserole and the famous pumpkin pie are a few of the holiday favorites. Though the food is one of the most coveted parts, I find having friends and family close is far better than anything.
Think of the laughter of the kids running in and out of the house, the men trying to sneak a quick bite; of course these memories bring a smile after the holidays, even if they are not received so well during. The holidays can try anyone’s patience and leave you feeling drained. I have found that my peace in the holiday preparation comes from being well organized and NOT procrastinating. So the week before, I start the little things; like making place cards and organizing my recipes. The pictures above and below are samples of my name cards; simple, fun and act as a little token that the guest can take home.
